For Tropical Storm Nate.

Tropical Storm Nate is currently located in southwestern Alabama and is moving in a north-northeastward direction. Over the next 12 to 24 hours Nate will begin a rapid acceleration northeastward and will begin to weaken to a Tropical Depression. By the early morning hours of Monday Nate will begin to interact with a strong upper level flow and will take a more easterly track. By Monday afternoon Nate will be a post-tropical storm located over eastern New York State.

Rainfall associated with Nate will graze portions of the lower Great Lakes tonight into Monday. Rainfall amounts of 20 to 40 mm are expected.

As the remnants of Nate continue along an east-northeast track the system will continue to weaken as it moves eastward toward the Maritimes.
